Dr Thomas Gahan is a specialist periodontist providing treatment for gum disease, implant placements, as well as perioperative procedures. Since 1983, he has been primarily involved in the diagnosis and clinical treatment of all forms of periodontal problems.
A considerable proportion of his work has been concerned with the pre-prosthodontic aspects of periodontal therapy, and he has gained great experience from his close association with Prosthodontists, both in hospital and private practice. Over the past 26 years, and to date, he has placed close to 10,000 implants.
At the Faculty of Dentistry, he held the post of Senior Specialist, where he was closely involved with all aspects of teaching and clinical training of both undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
